Fancy yourself as the next Shane Meadows or Steven Spielberg? Then send us your film trailer! Three lucky winners will be jetting off on an all-expenses-paid trip to LA to pitch their ideas to a top Sony Pictures executive…
So you want to be a top movie producer? Well, Sony Magazine could be about to give you a helping hand to fame and fortune – the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Hollywood to pitch a project to a Sony Pictures executive.
There are three categories to be judged – Feature Film, Documentary, and Animation. What you need now is a good idea boiled down into a trailer that’s up to three minutes long. Grab a video camera and a handful of willing friends and you’re half way there!
Once you’ve created your mini-masterpiece, send it in to Sony Magazine, along with an entry form (see link, above right). The best entries will be put up on this website, like the trailer to the right. Then, come autumn, some of the big names of Britain’s film industry will be watching your work to decide on the overall winner.
Our judges include BAFTA winning director and producer Shane Meadows and Mark Herbert of This is England fame; the Managing Director of Sony Pictures International UK, Peter Taylor; and Sony Magazine’s own Editor and Hollywood Editor, Tim Southwell and Martyn Palmer.
Before you know it you could be jetting off to L.A. to pitch your idea to a top Hollywood producer. So what are you waiting for?
